NORTH STAR SEARCH AND RESCUE

North Star Search and Rescue assisted the Maine Warden's Service in a search of a 26 year-old male last seen on the railroad tressle over Presque Isle Stream. North Star members logged over 70 man-hours searching the shores and woodlands surrounding the Presque Isle Stream.

The subject was last seen around 4:00 a.m. March 30, reported missing March 31. [THE STAR-HERALD, Wednesday, April 12, 2000] The victim was spoted afloat on a sand bar by passers-by around 4:00 p.m. May 7th.[AROOSTOOK REPUBLICAN AND NEWS, Wednesday, May 10, 2000]
