2nd, ANNUAL AROOSTOOK RIVER 60 MILE CANOE / KAYAK RACE

May. 9th, 2009

The largest river race in the State Of Maine is coming back to Aroostook County on May 9th, 2009. Northstar Search And Rescue is holding a 60 mile Canoe / Kayak Race on the Aroostook River. The race will be held rain or shine on May. 9th, 2009. This race covers some of the best scenery along the Aroostook River, Canoe and Kayak participants will put in at the Ashland Boat Launch area next to the Ashland Fish And Game Club, and will travel down the river until reaching the finish line located at the boat loading area in Fort Fairfield on May. 9th, 2009.

The 2008 race seen a great turnout and we are gonna do it again. Through out thenext few months we will be adding things to this site to explain the numerous new race classes and so forth so please check back often.
